Efficient and Convenient
ACME® AARC chillers are designed for quiet operation and built to withstand continual duty in outdoor environments. All components, including controls, are self-contained. Heavy-guage mill galvanized stell panels are pre-painted for superior appearance and corrosion resistance.

Optional Features
Numerous options are available including flood-control for operation to -20°F ambient, hot-gas-bypass, additional steps of cylinder unloading, additional pilot lights and gauges, pump packages and anti-cycling timers. Models can be specified with reciprocating or screw compressors.

Standard Features
Numerous standard features are offered for ACME® AARC outdoor chillers such as a replaceable core filter dryer and sight glass. Charging valve, liquid line shut off valve, balanced port expansion valve and service valves are standard.

The ACME® AARC control center includes the following standard features: manual reset oil pressure control, high pressure control, active pump down control, fan cycling control, freezestat, and manual lead/lag switching. PLC controls are standard on dual-circuit units. Mechanical controls are featured on single circuit units.

Cabinet - Pre-painted galvanized steel panels and galvanized steel channel base. Designed for easy handling. Panels are removable for easy access to all components.
Condenser Section - Aluminum corrugated fins are mechanically bonded to internally enhanced copper tubes for superior heat transfer. The condenser coil is enclosed in a pre-painted galvanized steel housing.
Fans - Quiet and efficient, direct-drive, multiple propeller type with steel hubs and aluminum alloy blades. Formedventuri for reduced noise.
Fan motors - Specifically designed for vertical shaft fan duty including permanently lubricated bearings and integral thermal protection. Guards are PVC-coated heavy gauge steel.
Compressors - Semi-hermetic type selected for high loading associated with air cooled condensing.
Evaporator - ACME® ASME-coded direct expansion type featuring enhanced surface, high performance tubes. Selected to maximize chiller performance and provide low pressure drop. Includes thermostatically controlled heater tape and 3/4" closed-cell insulation.
